Worked over 15 sts on a background of basic trebles with any number of sts.

Special Abbreviations

FCL (Forward Cluster) = leaving last loop of each st on hook work 1tr into next st and 1dtr/rf or rb (see Note below) round next st after that, ending yo, draw through all 3 loops on hook.

BCL (Backward Cluster) = leaving last loop of each st on hook work 1dtr/rf or rb round st below tr just made and 1tr into next st.

Note: Raised legs of these clusters are to be worked at front (rf) on right side rows and at back (rb) on wrong side rows as indicated in the text thus: FCL/rf. FCL/rb. BCL/rf, BCL/rb

TCL (Triple Cluster) = leaving last loop of each st on hook work 1dtr/rf round st below tr just made, 1tr/rf round next Puff st, and 1dtr/rf round next st, ending yo, draw through all 4 loops on hook.

1st row (right side): 1dtr/rf round next st, 1tr into next st, 1dtr/rf round next st, 1tr into each of next 2 sts, [1FCL/rf] twice, 1tr into next st, [1BCL/rf] twice, 1tr into each of next 2 sts, 1dtr/rf round next st, 1tr into next st, 1dtr/rf round next st.

2nd row: [1dtr/rb round next st, 1tr into next st] twice, [1FCL/rb twice, 1tr into each of next 3 sts, [1BCL/rb] twice, [1tr into next st, 1dtr/rb round next st] twice.

3rd row: [1dtr/rf round next st, 1tr into next st] twice, 1dtr/rf round each of next 2 sts, 1tr into each of next 3 sts, 1dtr/rf round each of next 2 sts, [1tr into next st, 1dtr/rf round next st] twice.

4th row: 1dtr/rb round next st, 1tr into next st, 1dtr/rb round next st, 1tr into each of next 2 sts, [1BCL/rb] twice, work a Puff st of htr5tog all into next st, [1FCL/rb] twice, 1tr into each of next 2 sts, 1dtr/rb round next st, 1tr into next st, 1dtr/rb round next st.
